Notes |
- Rana B. Lang (nee Flank), on August 16, 2023. Beloved wife of the late John Lang, Jr. Devoted mother of Lonnie Cooper, Brett Cooper, and the late Sean Lang. Dear sister of Howard Flank (Janice). Loving grandmother of Max Cooper and Zachary Richmond. Loving mother-in-law to Angela Cooper. Dear aunt to Timothy Flank (Jillian) and Stephanie Flank (Max).
Rana was born in Philadelphia to Sylvia and Bernard Flank. She remained in Philadelphia to attend Temple University where she received her teaching degree. She later received her master's degree in counseling at Trenton State College. She had a 35 year teaching career in the Philadelphia school system where she proved to be a treasured teacher. It was here where she displayed her love of Shakespeare through directing student Shakespeare plays.
Rana's passions were theater, travel, shopping, and her family. She made numerous trips to NYC for every new Broadway show with her friends. She traveled the world and enjoyed numerous cruises. If Rana wasn't cruising or on Broadway, you would most likely find her in Bloomingdales or Nordstroms. But her happiest moments were when her family was with her, especially at her shore home in Ventnor NJ, where so many fun memories were made.
Rana was larger than life and the life of the party. She kept us laughing. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Burial at Shalom Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley, PA .
