  STRAUSS, EDWIN E., 89, of Clearwater, died Thursday (Dec. 11, 1997) at Weinberg Village, Tampa. He was born in Hardheim, Germany, and came here in 1983 from Jamaica, N.Y. He worked as a contract administrator for 30 years with the Department of Defense. He was an Army veteran of World War II, served under General Patton and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of Beth Shalom Congregation of Clearwater, a board member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, a treasurer of Paul Surensky Post 409 Jewish War Veterans and a member of the Gulf Coast Council of Jewish War Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Irene; a daughter, Beverly Stevens, Tampa; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren
