  Dr. Donald J. Stiles, 70, of the 3200 block of Silver Sands Circle, died Oct. 10, 1996, in a local hospital. Dr. Stiles was a native of Rochester, N.Y. He was a member of Temple Israel, Norfolk. Dr. Stiles was a self-employed optometrist, practicing in Pembroke Mall for 29 years. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry. He was a member of American Optometric Association, Tidewater Optometric Society, The Scottish Rite bodies, a member and a 32nd Degree Mason with Masonic Lodge 53. Survivors include his wife, Arlene G. Stiles; three daughters, Julie Goodman, and her husband, Michael, of Richmond, Susan Stiles of Rockville, Md., Alison Mazie of Morris Plains, N.J.; a sister, Arleen Robinson of Akron, Ohio; and a niece, Barbara Lewis of Akron; and five grandchildren. A chapel service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz. Interment will be at 12:45 p.m. in Beth-El Cemetery in Richmond, Va.
