He is survived by his wife of 58 years Clair, son Wesley (Abby) and daughter Suzy (Jim), brother Bill (Rae) and grandchildren, Oriana, Jeffrey, Emily, Danny, Sarah and Stevie, and many nieces and nephews. A loving, warm and gracious man, he enjoyed traveling, reading and sharing books, Bay Area sports, socializing with his neighbors and friends and bragging about his grandchildren. He will be missed every day by his family. Funeral services will be private. Any donations in his name can be made to the Berkeley Public Library, the University of California, Berkeley or to the charity of your choice.
