- Isacson, Rosa Pfeifer was born in Little Rock, Ark., on Sept. 6, 1900. She celebrated her 107 th birthday with her family in September. As the eldest of five living generations, she has lived a long and loving life surrounded by her family and friends. She was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Pfeifer Sr.
Active in the civic and religious life of Little Rock, she was involved in numerous organizations such as Planned Parenthood, Council of Jewish Women, Temple B?Nai Israel and the Arkansas Art Museum. She was an avid bridge player. She was the widow of Harry E. Isacson of Denver, Colo. In 1989, she moved to Nashville, Tenn., to be near her only child, Heloise W. Kuhn. As a proponent of continuing education, she took many courses in Little Rock and Nashville. She donated a computer laboratory to the Radio, Television and Film Department of the College of Professional Studies at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Mrs. Isacson also established a scholarship in her name in the College of Professional Studies at the University of Arkansas which is awarded annually.
She is survived by her daughter, Heloise Werthan Kuhn of Nashville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Patricia Werthan Uhlmann of Kansas City and Joni Werthan of Franklin, Tenn.; two great-granddaughters, Kate Uhlmann Aikman of Marblehead, Mass., and Meg Uhlmann Shaw of Kansas City; and four great-great grandchildren.
