- BERMAN, Bernard March 17, 1927- April 14, 2012 Survived by his wife Rose, daughter Andrea (David Radis), son Paul (Suzanne) and six loving grandchildren: Scott, Eric, Alexis, Sari, Nick and Grant : step-sons, Cary and Brian Weiss. Bernie was predeceased by his devoted wife of almost 50 years, Trudy. The eldest of four children, Bernie also leaves his sisters, Rhoda (Gene Engelson), Marilyn Lieberman and brother, Harvey (Joyce). Bernie was an intellectual and thoughtful man who loved to read, tell jokes, go fishing, and play tennis until his later years. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, served in the US Navy, and lived his adult life in Los Angeles. Bernie was a successful businessman, using his background in physics and engineering to create ventures in oceanography and other scientific fields.
