- DAVIS--Bernice, "Bobbie" Mund, of Boca Raton, FL and Martha's Vineyard, MA passed away in the early morning hours on May 7, 2014. She is survived by her husband Sheldon, her three children Jody Howard (Marc), Robin Negin (Geoff) and Jonathan Davis (Sloane) as well as by her eight grandchildren, Zachary Howard, Jake Howard, Sydney Weiss, Simon Negin, Elliot Negin, Jesse Davis, Joey Howard and Chloe Davis. Bobbie was born August 5, 1937 in New York City. She attended both Rider and Columbia Universities and then raised her family in New Rochelle, NY. As a young mother Bobbie volunteered her time to the Girl Scouts. Eventually, she became a full-time executive as Program Director for the Westchester-Putnam Counties. Bobbie spent 25 years creating a wide range of opportunities for girls to build character, to gain self-esteem and to acquire life experiences by serving their communities. She also helped girls accomplish their dream of obtaining a higher education through the many scholarships and grants offered to the Girl Scouts by local and national businesses. During her career she was honored by Mayor Mario Cuomo for creating a program that offered free flying lessons to any Girl Scout who wished to take on the challenge. Among her many talents, Bobbie was an avid painter and won several awards for her work in watercolor. She also sold a number paintings at various art shows on Martha's Vineyard. Her impeccable taste and style was apparent in everything she did. Bobbie will be deeply mourned by her family and friends.
