  Nov. 19, 1933 - May 08, 2010 Our beloved Mom, Kathleen Whitaker, died at home in San Diego, Calif. Kathleen was born and raised in Rome, Ga. She earned her bachelor's degree in the first graduating class of the University of San Diego. She married Alfred G. Whitaker in 1958 and moved to Vallejo where she resided for 44 years. Kathleen was a long-time member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church and she enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. Kindness, love of family, keeping in contact with friends, thinking of others before herself, and caring for those less fortunate are only a few of her qualities that we will miss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al, who died on April 2, 1997. She is survived by her sister, Berenice Fenn of Tucson, Ariz.; her brother, John Wollstein of Honolulu; her four children and their spouses, Suzanne and Richard Hagan of San Diego, Robert and Joyce Whitaker of Foster City, John Whitaker of San Diego, and Kathryn and John Wilson of Vista; 10 grandchildren (Ryan, Kelli and Sean Hagan; Jack, David, Andrew and Rachel Wilson; and Marissa, Jenna and Ella Whitaker); and 18 nieces nephew
